The weekend is here again, and like most of you I will want to take my family out to explore the great outdoors. Unfortunately a lot of times the things that we bring to fuel our bodies through these adventures are not very healthy at all. That is because most convenient foods are highly processed, contain minimal nutritional value, and contain all sorts of things you can't pronounce. So for a new spin on healthy outdoor snacks that actually have adventure fueling nutrients try one of these suggestions!

Almond butter contains healthy essential fats, is high in protein, and is caloricly dense! Try the convenient little squeeze packs for a mid-hike snack with an apple for a boost that will keep you trekking.
